Napoleon is coming out in theaters on November 22, The good news is that you can watch the movie in 70mm format. Unfortunately, this is only available in select locations so you'll have to check with your local theater to check if it is available.

Here are the locations where Napoleon is slated to come out in 70mm format:

  • Coolidge Corner Theater, Boston, MA
  • Vista, Los Angeles, CA
  • Village East by Angelika, New York, NY
  • Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, Austin, TX
  • Cineplex Varsity, Toronto, Canada

Unfortunately, there are no 70mm prints planned for Europe and Australia so you an opt for the IMAX version.

It is said that the IMAX version of Napoleon will be six minutes longer than the 70mm print. But it's worth pointing out that the Apple TV version will also be 5 hours so it's still something to look out for. Meanwhile, the version that's coming to theaters will have a total runtime of two hours and 38 minutes, including its credits.

If you want better shadow detail retention, you can opt to watch Napoleon in the 70mm locations mentioned.

It's worth noting that Napoleon will be coming out on Apple TV+ eventually, especially since Apple financed and produced the film. But there's no mention of a specific release date.

It's possible that the earliest time we can stream Napoleon on Apple TV+ could be on January 6, 2024.
