A year after the Kdrama was released, the lead stars sparked dating rumors after online communities raised speculations that the mystery man seen at the actress' Instagram post during Coldplay's concert in Korea was none other than Nam Joo Hyuk.
According to Soompi, several reports noted that the pair have been dating for five months and reportedly became a couple when the mega-hit Kdrama ended.
At the height of the dating issue, the duo confirmed their relationship through their respective agencies.
In 2017, a representative from Lee Sung Kyung's agency, YG Entertainment, confirmed the rumors and revealed that "the pair recently developed romantic feelings for one another and are dating well now."
Moreover, the source also noted that before Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo, the duo were already close friends since they both started out as models before debuting as an actor.
Unfortunately, months after confirming their relationship, the couple became a subject of breakup rumors.
With this, YG Entertainment officially released a statement stating that "it is true that the two recently broke up."
However, since the issue is a personal matter, the management did not disclose the exact reason behind it.
