Wizards of the Coast will reveal our first look at the Magic: The Gathering Mystery Booster foils this Thursday, and Senior Designer Designer Gavin Verhey has teased some descriptions for the Mystery Booster foil cards that will be included in the retail edition of the set.
"Also, to set expectations for Mystery foils: these are sweet, memorable, and "Huh?!" cards, some of which see play (especially Commander) and some that do not, Verhey said on Twitter. "It will be an exciting slot (nearly half are rare!) but they're also not fetches. Think Time Spiral bonus."
The retail edition (aka the Wizards Play Network version) of the MTG Mystery Boosters will be available this month, and unlike the convention edition of the huge Magic booster draft set, each pack in the WPN version will have a slot for one of the 121 possible foil cards not found in the main set, instead of the Playtest cards found in the convention version.
What do you think the foils of the Mystery Booster will be? Let us know in the comments section below.
The WPN version of the Mystery Booster will be available on March 13, 2020; the Convention version will be available at MagicFest events and conventions where it will be featured.
