The spring 2024 season is just a month away, and now, more anime are getting release dates. Among these is Mysterious Disappearances, which got a new trailer and an April release date.
This upcoming mystery anime was announced back in January 2023. Now, fans have gotten their best look yet via the latest trailer that also previews the show’s theme songs.
New Mysterious Disappearances Trailer Highlights Theme Songs
At two minutes long, this new Mysterious Disappearances trailer is the longest showcase of the anime yet, and it puts the spotlight on its main cast.
It also previews the opening song Hazard Symbol by Yuyu, a singer who is best known for performing the ending theme of The Ancient Magus' Bride season 2 part 2.
Also previewed in the trailer is the ending theme by Nonoka Obuchi titled Akaku Somete Shinzou. This is the first anime song by Obuchi, though she is known for playing Kurumi in the Lycoris Recoil stage play.
Mysterious Disappearances Anime Main Voice Cast Revealed
Along with the show’s theme songs, more cast members have been revealed, meaning there are now seven confirmed VAs, which include:
- Ai Fairouz (Power in Chainsaw Man) as Sumireko Ogawa
- Daiki Yamashita (Deku in My Hero Academia) as Ren Adashino
- Eri Yukimura (Anri Teieri in Blue Lock) as Oto Adashino
- Yuuya Uchida (Franken Stein in Soul Eater) as John Doe
- Rie Takahashi (Megumin in KonoSuba) as Shizuku Hayami
- Saya Aizawa (Kisara in Engage Kiss) as Nodoka Ametsuchi
- Yui Horie (Tohru Honda in Fruits Basket) as Manami Uname

Mysterious Disappearances Anime: Release Date and Where to Watch
Produced by Zero-G (of Farming Life in Another World fame), the Mysterious Disappearances anime is based on an ongoing manga serialized in Yawaraka Spirits.
Heading the Mysterious Disappearances anime staff is Tomomi Mochizuki, who is in charge of direction and series composition. Previously, he has worked on titles such as Ranma ½, Urusei Yatsura, and Code Geass.
It has a mystery and supernatural premise that follows Sumireko Ogawa, a bookstore clerk who dreams of becoming a novelist. She soon discovers mysterious occurrences in her town.
Because of this, Ogawa asks for the help of her co-worker Ren Adashino, though unbeknownst to her, Ren has a secret he’s hiding from her.
The Mysterious Disappearances anime will be released in Japan on April 10, 2024. It will air on AT-X, Tokyo MX, and BS NTV.
Currently, there’s no word yet on an international streaming platform partner for the show. As its release is just a bit over a month away, more info will likely be released in the coming weeks.
