HBO has released new descriptions for its two upcoming Game of Thrones season 6 episodes and in true HBO fashion, the descriptions are as cryptic as The Red Woman synopsisrevealed earlier this month.
We previously reported rumored titles for the upcoming episodes. As it turns out, the rumors are true.
The second episode, which is to air on May 1, is titled Home. It has been described as follows:
Bran (Isaac Hempstead Wright) trains with the Three-Eyed Raven (Max von Sydow). In King's Landing, Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) advises Tommen (Dean-Charles Chapman). Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) demands good news, but has to make his own. At Castle Black, the Night's Watch stands behind Thorne (Owen Teale). Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon) proposes a plan, and Balon Greyjoy (Patrick Malahide) entertains other proposals.
As for the second episode, which is to air on May 8, the episode titled Oathbreaker has the following description:
Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) meets her future. Bran meets the past. Tommen confronts the High Sparrow (Jonathan Pryce). Arya (Maisie Williams) trains to be No One. Varys (Conleth Hill) finds an answer. Ramsay gets a gift.
Having such mysterious natures, naturally, speculations will surface about what the descriptions could mean.
Of course, nobody will really know the truth unless the showrunners reveal the true meaning behind the descriptions.
From how episode 1 was titled and how it ended, I have a feeling the next two episodes' descriptions have nothing to do with the title. Most likely, the ending of the two episodes will be the scene to highlight the titles again. But then, I could be wrong. Game of Thrones has managed to surprise fans time and again. Showrunners D.B. Weiss and David Benioff could have created the titles as a red herring to keep fans surprised in the upcoming episodes.
