Anime theme park collabs have become increasingly common over the past year or so. Thus, it’s no surprise that My Hero Academia will get a limited-time 4D experience at Universal Studios Japan (USJ) with an original story.

Details about this collaboration were shared on the official USJ website. There, info about the 4D experience’s story was detailed.

With this experience set to open in early 2024, next year will definitely be a big one for My Hero Academia fans. After all, the anime’s new season and new movie are going to be released next year.

My Hero Academia continues to be one of Shonen Jump’s biggest titles. Even though the manga’s end is on the horizon, the series will live on in various forms.

In March, fans in Japan will be treated to a special My Hero Academia 4D experience at USJ. This will be similar to the Jujutsu Kaisen collab which happened earlier this year as it will feature an original story.

The ride will treat fans to the reveal of a new villain that’s made just for the experience. This villain will attempt to attack a world-famous rock musician. Defending the rock star is Deku and his friends.

Fan-favorite characters will appear in this story, including Izuku Midoriya, Katsuki Bakugo, Ochaco Uraraka, and Shoto Todoroki.

As a 4D experience, fans will get to enjoy 3D images that are complemented by immersive special effects like vibrations and water splashes. Thus, this experience isn’t for the faint of heart.

Unlike the Jujutsu Kaisen collab, the My Hero Academia experience will be limited to just the 4D attraction. Still, it’s shaping up to be a must-try for fans who are in Osaka during its run.

This 4D experience will be open from March 1 to August 14, 2024. USJ also confirmed that an Express Pass for the attraction will be available for purchase online and at ticket booths on December 22, from noon JST.

The My Hero Academia collab is part of USJ’s Universal Cool Japan 2024 event, which will also introduce crossover attractions with other popular franchises, including Detective Conan and Monster Hunter.

From the looks of it, theme parks are the next big thing for anime. Aside from Ghibli Park, which will expand next year, a Pokemon theme park is also in the works.
