The title of My Hero Academia Chapter 403 is The End of an Era and the Beginning, and it begins with a brief look into All Might’s past, with his younger version reading an Anpanman manga.
What is All Might born for? What is he going to do? These are just two of the many questions All Might had in mind when he looked back at his hero origins.
Throughout All Might’s life, the one thing he has done the most is look back on the path he took, because every single step was extremely important.
At present, All For One continues to crush All Might’s heroic spirit, saying that he will never let his archenemy die like a hero.
Spikes came out of All For One’s shoulders, destroying All Might’s remaining gauntlet in the process. All For One says that All Might has finally used all of his tricks.
Then, All For One uses Stain’s Bloodcurdle quirk, paralyzing All Might’s body. All For One laughs at All Might’s expression, saying that it’s the face he wanted to see.
He also understands that wounded heroes are always the scariest, but now All Might can’t move a single muscle.
As UA floats in the air, La Brava calls out to Gentle, who knows that he needs to help All Might. That’s when All For One fires a laser at the floating UA, forcing Gentle to hold UA once again.
The pilots of X-66 jets want to help All Might, but they’re worried that their lasers will hit the beloved hero as well. All For One quickly notices the jets, realizing that they are the same jets that fought Tomura alongside Star.
Seeing All Might’s helpless situation, Deku, Agpar, Tsukauchi, Gran Torino, and the rest of the people watching from their screens panic at the thought of seeing the death of the beloved hero.
As everyone loses hope, an explosion suddenly catches the eye of everyone. Deku looks up at U.A., and there he sees a very familiar face: Katsuki Bakugo! He is covered in blood, with one hand holding an All Might card!
Before the chapter ends, Deku sheds tears, while Bakugo gives him a meaningful look.
