Here's What Happened Before My Hero Academia Chapter 374
My Hero Academia Chapter 373 is entitled Friends, with a cover depicting Shirakumo Oboro’s portrait with a text that says his body is dyed with darkness itself, alluding to Kurogiri.
The chapter begins with Shoji and Koda fighting side by side to prevent the mutant followers of the Paranormal Liberation Front from raiding the Central Hospital, while Present Mic pursues Spinner.
One mutant attacks Shoji from behind, but the same pig-headed mutant from the previous chapter intervenes, much to the surprise and confusion of the others.
While everyone is perplexed, the pig-headed mutant realizes and declares that he is not making good use of his rage.
The pig-headed mutant's statement enrages the Paranormal Liberation Front (PLF) general, who demands that they keep going and follow Spinner inside the hospital because all those who have ignored their pain are also their enemies.
He adds that it is time to let them experience the same violence they experienced before.
Despite this, the pig-headed mutant joins Shoji in realizing that there is a better way to end their discrimination.
After all, there are some people he doesn't want to hurt, even after being attacked and discriminated against numerous times.
As a result, the PLF general concludes that Shoji is able to reach out to his fellow mutants despite the PLF's efforts to radicalize everyone to the point where their anger becomes a constraint against logic.
The PLF general desperately tries to keep everyone moving, but the remaining mutants stand there, realizing their mistakes.
That's when Shoji acknowledges everyone's feelings, telling them that their actions were neither wrong nor useless because no one had ever noticed their feelings before.
He also promises to keep everyone's words in his heart and that, one day, their harassers will be ashamed of raising their fists against them.
Rock Lock realizes the uprising has come to an end and orders their reinforcements to leave the hospital.
In the hospital's research wing, Present Mic's voice wave sends Spinner flying.
His voice also damages Spinner's recorder, which contains recordings of All For One and Shigaraki's voices.
While Present Mic speculates that Kurogiri may already be completely broken, Spinner notices that one of Shigaraki's hands, along with the recorder, has fallen to the ground.
Spinner complains that no one is following him anymore, and Kurogiri refuses to wake up.
He began to recount past events, where all he ever wanted was to keep following Shigaraki and eventually reach him.
Present Mic, on the other hand, races against Spinner toward Kurogiri, recalling their good times together with Aizawa when everything was normal.
However, before Present Mic can reach Kurogiri, Spinner uses the last of his strength to place Shigaraki's hand in front of Kurogiri's face, asserting that they must save Shigaraki and the others.
Kurogiri suddenly breaks free from his restraints and declares himself to be Kurogiri, the one who protects Tomura Shigaraki.
