Now that the release date of the romantic-fantasy K-Drama, My Demon, has been announced. Let's talk about who will star in My Demon.
We already know that the series will be headlined by Song Kang and Kim Yoo-jung. The two will star as a demon and an arrogant chaebol who fall in love despite the odds. So who else stars alongside them?
Kim Yoo-jung as Do Do-hee
The lead role in My Demon will be played by Kim Yoo-jung, who stars in the show as Do Do-hee, a chaebol heiress who nobody likes.
She is an arrogant and cold woman who does not trust anybody so easily. She meets Jung Gu-won (played by Song Kang), a demon who makes dangerous deals with humans, and her life changes.
Yoo-jung has starred in other Netflix movies like 20th Century Girl and The 8th Night. She has also been in other Kdramas like Love in the Moonlight, Backstreet Rookie, and Lovers of the Red Sky.
Song Kang as Jung Gu-won
Simply put, Jung Gu-won is a demon who makes deals with people. He has been doing this for 200 years and doesn't really care about the people he meets.
When he meets Do-hee, everything changes for him. That's because Do-hee is different. She has the ability to take away his power.
To stop from losing his power, he has to protect Do-hee. And eventually, they fall in love.
Avid Netflix fans will recognize Song Kang as the lead of Sweet Home. He has also starred in Navillera, Love Alarm, Nevertheless, and Forecasting Love and Weather.
Lee Sang-yi as Joo Seok-hoon
The third lead in My Demon is Joo Seok-hoon (played by Lee Sang-yi). He is the CEO of Mirae Investments.
Not much is known about his character at this time of writing but he is said to become unhappy when Gu-won enters his life.
Sang-yi has starred in other Kdramas like Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha, Bloodhounds, and Crash Course in Romance.

It's exciting to see what the show will be about, given that nobody likes Do-hee's character and we're dealing with a demon here. But since the show is a romance-fantasy, we can expect things to turn out right in the end.
My Demon is coming out on Friday, November 24, 2023 on SBS. The episode will then be available to stream on Netflix shortly after this release.
