This year marks 20 years since the release of The Lord Of The Rings: The Fellowship Of The Ring, the first film installment in this epic trilogy.
Since then, the films have become a global sensation and amassed a huge fanbase that continues to grow to this day.
Weta Workshop worked on the films back in the late 90s and early 2000s providing everything from Hobbit ears to Uruk-hai armor.
Now, 20 years on, they still produce official merchandise, figurines, props, and much more.
As we celebrate this 20-year milestone, we thought we'd share with you a few of our favorite Weta statuettes from the trilogy worthy of any collection.

Gandalf is one of the most loved and most iconic characters from the series and we think this depiction of him from Weta is absolutely flawless.
The detail here is superb, from the wrinkles upon his face to the mud detail on the base of his clothing Gandalf is brought to life.
The standout feature of this state has to be the detailing of his face and his timeless pensive expression that simply, yet effectively encapsulate his character.

Gollum Miniature Statue
We couldn't have a top figurines list without including Gollum and we think this depiction of him is beautifully done.
Gollum's somber expression is powerful here and gives a real sense of tragedy and desperation to the character.
Again, the detail here is excellent from the mud between his toes up to his delicate strands of remaining hair.

Frodo Mini Epics Vinyl Figure
Alongside their hyper-realistic statuettes, Weta produces many stylistic vinyl figures too, such as this depiction of Frodo.
Frodo's pose as he clutches the ring to his chest with Sting in his hand illustrates his character extremely well.
The colors of this figurine also make this piece interesting, the duller browns and greens are in high contrast to his bright blue eyes and a golden ring.

The Dark Lord Sauron 1:6 Scale Statue
This striking 1:6 scale statue of Sauron really needs no introduction and we think this is worthy of any Lord of the Rings collection.
This statue is a huge 26.18-inches tall which we think makes it a fantastic choice for home decoration or collection centerpiece.
As always, Weta has really delivered with this piece, the armor is immaculate, the one ring upon Sauron's finger really stands out and the pose is intimidating all of which is in keeping with his character.

Aragorn Figures of Fandom Statue
Designed by fans, for fans, this depiction of Aragorn catches him in motion during his fight with the Ringwraiths at Weathertop.
Aragorn is shown here in his ranger garbs which are muddy and worn, and we can see that from the accurate detail on this statuette.
His striking pose and fierce facial expression are brilliantly captured and with the fire flailing behind his head, this figurine is truly epic.

Samwise Mini Epics Vinyl
This Mini Epic representation of Samwise is another standout figurine for us, with his iconic frying pan raised above his head.
This stylistic design is great at capturing Sam's character, with his enormous Hobbit feet, brave expression, and practical clothing.
The choice to include his frying pan excellently demonstrates Sam's nature, having left home being a lover of food and gardening and transitioning into the brave hero that he is.

Gimli The Dwarf On Uruk-hai 43
Gimli sat atop his 43rd victim at the battle for Helms Deep is another standout choice for us and we think a must-have for any Lord of the Rings collector.
This portrayal shows battle-hardened Gimli left looking exhausted as he sits with his ax embedded in the nervous system of his defeated foe.
The mud on his shoes and lower garments, dirtied face, and tired eyes are all incredibly nice touches of detail that all add to this scene.

Lurtz Figures Of Fandom Statue
This statue of Lurtz, the first leader of the Uruk-hai shows his aggression, power, and vitriolic nature.
The detailing here is exceptional with his defined leg muscles, intricate armor, and spine-chilling expression.
The standout feature for us is his striking pose, demonstrating his strength and aggression.
At 10-inches tall, we think this makes an excellent bookshelf or desk companion for any collector.
