Is Mushoku Tensei Based on a Manga or Light Novel?
The anime series, also known as Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation, is based on the light novel of the same name.
Season 1 of the anime covers the first six volumes of the light novel series in its entirety. Mushoku Tensei Season 2 adapts from Volume 7 of the light novel series.
The light novel also got a manga adaptation written by Rifujin and Fujikawa Yuka and illustrated by Shirotaka.
Seven Seas Entertainment is publishing the light novel series as well as the manga in North America. Volume 17 of the manga is releasing on August 8, 2023.
Is the Mushoku Tensei Light Novel Finished?
Yes, the Mushoku Tensei light novel series reached its conclusion on November 25, 2022.
Volume 26 of the light novel marks the end of the main story of Mushoku Tensei.
It is important to note that only the Japanese version of the light novel series has ended.
Meanwhile, the English-translated light novel series is currently ongoing, with Volume 24 set to hit the stores on October 17, 2023.
The digital version of Mushoku Tensei Volume 24 will be made available on August 24, 2023.
