Magic: The Gathering's Grand Prix Prague 2018 happened this weekend, and as expected, the Modern metagame breakdown on Day 2 was pretty diverse. Now, the numbers are in, and the Magic Pro Tour Twitter page has shared a pie chart to help us visualize what the metagame in Grand Prix Prague is like. As you can below, Blue/White Control, Humans, and Burn. This isn't surprising. Many would agree that Humans is the best Modern deck right now thanks to its power and versatility while Blue/White Control provides effective answers against Humans and other competitive decks in Modern. Burn is still fast and effective and its fail rate is much lower compared to other competitive Modern decks so it's not surprising to see a huge chunk of Burn players taking over GP Prague's metagame.

As you can see above, there's also a good amount of Tron players. Jund, Ironworks Combo, Mardu Pyromancer, and Hardened Scales are also showing good results at the competition. The new Modern deck archetype Bridgevine also attacked the tournament with 11 players piloting its graveyard-focused aggro strategy. Its sibling, Hollow One, also got a thin slice of the pie chart. Classic Modern archetypes Affinity and Infect also made the cut. And 75 other decks don't belong to Modern's popular archetypes.

And just right now, the Top 8 decks at Grand Prix Prague have been announced, and they include one Hardened Scales deck, one Jeskai Control deck, one Infect deck, one Ironworks Combo decks, two Bant Spirits decks, and two Humans decks.

Are you surprised that Blue/White Control, Humans, and Burn are the biggest decks at Grand Prix Prague?
