Disney+'s Ms. Marvel is now approaching its thrilling finale next week. Starring MCU newcomer Iman Vellani, the conclusion will complete Kamala Khan's eventful journey as she explores the strange origin of her powers. Now, after Ms. Marvel, what is next for the actress?
"Ms. Marvel came out of nowhere and so I decided I'm not going to plan my future," Vellani told NME. "I'm just going to see where life takes me. If it's an indie thing then great, if it's Fast and Furious 29 then great. I don't know! I'm going with the flow here."
In Ms. Marvel's Episode 5 titled Time and Again, Kamala found out what really happened to Aisha during the Partition. When Kamala went back to the present day, the veil appeared but turns everyone who gets close to ashes. Red Dagger and Kamala bid goodbye, but Kamran shockingly appears to develop hard light powers just like Kamala at the conclusion of the episode.
When asked about what fans should expect in the finale, “It’s directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah who directed episode one, so a lot of that fun animation and quick Edgar Wright-style editing is coming back. Visually, it’s quite fun to look at…," the actress responded.
Unlike Oscar Isaac's Moon Knight, Vellani's future in the MCU is more secured. Vellani is set to reprise her titular role in the upcoming The Marvels, which will team her up with her on-screen idol Captain Marvel. The Marvels will also star Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, with a rumored appearance of Korean star Park Seo-Joon.
Nevertheless, now that Vellani has made it into the world of superheroes, her future is certainly bright. In the MCU alone, she could return to several potential projects like Young Avengers, or crossover in future Captain Marvel films. After proving her range as an actress in the Disney+ show, there's no doubt that she can have a triumphant career in Hollywood.
