Aside from Ms. Marvel's jaw-dropping twist, the Disney+ show still left some undisclosed mysteries that completely baffle the fans. While Kamala's MCU future is almost too certain, the conclusion did not fully specify what happens next to key characters, Kareem (Aramis Knight) and Kamran (Rish Shah).
In the show's season finale, Kamran suffered a bit of bewilderment that nearly pointed to a villainous turn for the character. Thankfully, Kamala consoled Kamran and linked him to Kareem to hide from the authorities trying to capture them. Sadly, that's where the show ended with Kamran.
In a recent interview with Deadline, Ms. Marvel showrunner Bisha K. Ali sheds some new light on Kamran's future as a Clandestine and clarified that the character won't be a villain.
"A lot of the story for the Clandestines and the Red Daggers ended up getting truncated, but I hope Marvel decides to run with it going forward. Regarding Kamran, my intention was always that Kamala and her group of friends and the Red Daggers become his community," the director explained. "He and Kareem (Aramis Knight) are Red Dagger. I see [Kareem and Kamran] almost becoming brothers in the future. So he does find a home here. I want to note that this is all Bisha canon and not Marvel so it all could change, but my intention was always that he finds a home here because of Kamala and all the people on the show."
Ali added, "There’s no world that exists for me where Kamran becomes a bad guy. I will not write a young Muslim boy as a bad guy. But that’s not to say somebody else may want to take it in that direction in the future."
After losing his entire family, Kamran doesn't really deserve to be a villain. Its also worth noting that when the Clandestines attempted to forcefully snatch the mystical bangle from Kamala, Kamran easily decided to betray his family and save the titular heroine. That only proves that Kamran had what it takes to be a hero, and making him a villain would waste such potential, most especially now that he possesses the same Night Light abilities as Kamala.
Kamran meeting the Red Dagger at the finale also left a massive potential that can still be revisited in the next Ms. Marvel-related projects. For now, Marvel Studios hasn't yet announced a second season for Ms. Marvel. But if ever there would be, Kamran and Kareem's inclusion is practically certain.
