The coronavirus pandemic has had the movie industry shut down for around 6 months now. With theaters closed and no new movie releases just yet, on-demand and at home streaming has surged in popularity.

While there are already new films heading straight to VOD, some major blockbusters are awaiting their debut, including Marvel's Black Widow. Initially set for release in May, the Scarlett Johansson feature was delayed to November. As cool and exciting as it is to be able to watch the film on the big screen, a new poll reveals a large portion of the audience would be okay to watch it at home.

In a recent report from Variety, movie fans were surveyed about their preference in watching upcoming features for the first time. 1000 people in the United States participated in the survey between August 3 and 10, with 87% saying that they'd be fine with watching the MCU film at home instead of waiting for its release in theaters. This actually includes 32% who would want to see the movie as soon as possible at home.

There's no telling about what happens in the next few months so Black Widow's future is still uncertain. That said, fans are holding out hope for its November release to get the theatrical debut it clearly deserves.

Black Widow is currently set to arrive on November 6.
