Motion Poster for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Released Ahead of SW Celebration

EA is planning a big reveal for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order this coming weekend, and they've been releasing some small teasers online. We already have the official logo for the game, but now we have a motion poster and what looks to be an old-timey lightsaber.

Check it out:

We don't know much about the specifics of the game yet, but we do know that the story will be based on a lost padawan who will be trying to survive the Jedi purge that takes place in the middle of Revenge of the Sith. Unlike Battlefront II, Fallen Order is expected to be a platformer game and is being considered as the spiritual successor of the Force Unleashed games.

Since 2017, the only other game that EA has pumped out under the Star Wars banner is Battlefront II, and though a lot of people love the game, the shooter genre is admittedly not for everyone. With Fallen Order, the game is said to have one linear story and will have less focus on multiplayer, unlike Battlefront.

After years of waiting, a lot of people are hoping that EA delves deeper into their Star Wars license seeing that Lucasarts was able to make a whole bunch of games that spanned multiple genres from shooters to racing. If Fallen Order manages to deliver, then we could be looking at a whole new generation of Star Wars games coming our way.

Let's just hope the devs don't get too greedy.

No specific release date has been set for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, but the game is expected to release within the year. However, it will be having its own panel on Saturday, April 13th at 7:30 PM (UK time), and we can hope that's when they'll share the release date and maybe a first look at the game.
