Directed and produced by Frank Capra, It's A Wonderful Life is based on the self-published book of Philip Van Doren Stern, The Greatest Gift, which has some touches from Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol novella from 1843.
The 1946 classic Christmas romantic movie follows George Bailey, a man who gave up on his own dreams so that he could be able to help their community. However, he thought of taking his own life on Christmas eve. To stop this, his guardian angel, Clarence Odbody, appeared.
