Mask Girl

Based on the webtoon of the same name, Mark Girl, starring Go Hyun Jung, Ahn Jae Hong, and Yeom Hye Ran depicts the story of an ordinary office worker named Kim Mo Mi (Go Hyun Jung.)

She suffers a major inferiority complex about her looks but finds comfort by living as an internet broadcasting jockey (BJ) at night with her iconic mask.

Amid her alter ego, she finds herself caught up in the mysterious situation.

The seven-part episode series is scheduled to be in the second half of 2023 through Netflix.

The Girl Downstairs

Also a webtoon adaptation The Girl Downstairs also known as Doona depicts a mysterious story of a former celebrity named Doona, played by Bae Suzy.

Interestingly, college student Lee Won Joon, played by Yang Se Jong, moved to an apartment where Doona lives. Although he tried to avoid her, Se Jong finds himself curious about his neighbor.

Besides Bae Suzy and Yang Se Jong, Lee Yoo Bi joins as a supporting character with Lee Jin Wook, Choi Ri An, and Go Ah Sung will appear in special cameo.

The Girl Downstairs is set to be released through Netflix sometime in 2023.

Vigilante

Another webtoon-based drama that is set to premiere in 2023 is Vigilante.

Starring Nam Joo Hyuk as Kim Ji Yong. The police academy student plans to take on revenge after he lost his mother at the hands of notorious criminals at a young age and vows to take revenge.

He then becomes a vigilante to go after lawbreakers while the Metropolitan Investigation Unit Team tracks him down.

Joining Nam Joo Hyuk as lead stars are Yoo Ji Tae from Money Heist Korea, Lee Joon Hyuk, and Kim So Jin from Through the Darkness.

D.P 2

From webtoon-based series, K-dramas returning this 2023 include the much-awaited sequel of D.P.

Featuring the team-up between Jung Hae In and Goo Kyo Hwan, the favorite duo will continue to track military defectors to avoid further troubling cases among the soldiers.

From the original cast members Kim Sung Kyun, Son Seok Koo, and Goo Kyung Pyo, D.P 2 will also feature new casts such as Jin Jin Hee and Kim Ji Hyun from Thirty-Nine.
