Mortal Kombat 11 To Add New Co-op Team Raids Mode

Ever since Mortal Kombat 11 was released, it became a huge hit to the fans. While players are waiting on the incoming characters such as Terminator, Sindel, Joker, and Spawn, the game will offer a new game mode in the upcoming patch.

Fans have been enjoying what the game has in store so far, like the ability to modify and collect multiple versions of a character, or being able to select from the wide variety of ability sets, and even an AI Behavior tab. However, the players seem to be missing an essential game mode they've been requesting for a long time now.

Tag Team's availability was only seen in Mortal Kombat 9. It appears that players use this in offline mode in order to play with their friends all the time, and they would like to use it this time too. Well, you could sort of get a similar game mode in the next patch, but it isn't the same as what you would expect.

Kombat Kast recently announced that a new game mode called Team Raids would be available. Three players can fight together against a single boss all at the same time. This is done through separate screens and each player could take on and face the boss in a 1v1 fight. The 3 players won't appear on the same screen, but individual fighters can effectively damage the boss' health bar simultaneously.

Players will also be facing challenges that could "put the fight into their favor." These challenges will have a time limit, but once completed, either health, armor, or anything that will help the team beat the boss can be acquired. Given the time pressure and the 3 players' individual efforts, this game mode encourages teamwork and cooperation.

NetherRealm points out that being in these raids would always require preparation. The players would have to choose and create their character carefully with the intention of having high chances of winning and defeating the boss.

NetherRealm will surely be putting out upgrades and modes in the future so fans should not fret. Personally, I think I could see this as something that players would unexpectedly enjoy in the future. What do you think of the Team Raids game mode?

Mortal Kombat 11 is now playable for Xbox One, PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
