Morbius Trailer Drops Epic Venom Reference

We finally have a new trailer for Morbius and it features more action for the vampire antihero. However, there's one awesome thing that came in the last few minutes of the teaser. Interestingly, Michael Morbius makes an unexpected reference to Venom and Marvel fans are loving every second of it.

The Morbius trailer gives us an idea of how Michael Morbius was before he went to that strange cave and returned with a thirst for blood. However, Michael is also determined to save people instead of sucking them dry. Despite his serious predicament, it looks like the vampire hasn't lost his sense of humor.

By the end of the trailer, Michael is attacked by a thug but he quickly disarms the man who asks who he is. "I ... am ... Venom," Michael answers before showing off his vampire's face. "I'm just kidding, Doctor Michael Morbius, at your service."

It's an unexpected yet hilarious reference to Venom and it does make sense considering that these characters exist in the same universe. But could it mean that Eddie Brock and Venom will show up in Morbius? It would be a fun thing to see and we're hoping we'll get to see it by early next year.

Venom is not the only Spider-Man villain who was referenced in the Morbius trailer. A newspaper also featured headlines referencing Rhino and Black Cat. In addition to that, Michael Keaton's Adrian Toomes aka Vulture showed up in the teaser. It looks like there will be more villains showing up in Sony's Spider-Man Cinematic Universe soon.
