Morbius Star Jared Leto Teases Future Crossover With Tom Holland's Spiderman


Jared Leto will make his debut in the MCU by playing one of the well-known anti-heroes of Spiderman, Morbius. Leto will be introducing Michael Morbius to the current Spiderverse led by the MCU's new Peter Parker, Tom Holland. Morbius is a biochemist with a rare blood disease, accidentally stumbled upon a form of vampirism, which gives him superhuman abilities and senses. However, Morbius has to balance being good and bad, as he also developed a curse of craving human blood.

Morbius is originally a villain in Marvel Comics, specifically for the friendly neighborhood, Spiderman. It won't be surprising if Morbius will make interaction with Tom Holland's Spiderman in the future sequels, it's worth noting how Tom Hardy's Venom and Holland's Spiderman have been seeding post-credit scenes that hint at a future crossover, Leto's Morbius might also make the cut.

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Morbius star Jared Leto drops a comment about his excitement about meeting the MCU's new Spiderman, Tom Holland. Leto explained, "Well... I would love to get in the ring with Spider-Man. I think Tom Holland is amazing, and we'd make quite a dynamic duo, I guess."

In a new interview with Screenrant, Leto also teased about a future Spiderman-Morbius crossover, and how he and Holland will have 'a date with destiny.'

Leto explained, "Well, I think Tom Holland and I have a date with destiny. By the way, just a phenomenal actor, and what a great Spider-Man. I really think he's just a terrific talent. But it would be great to get in the ring with him and go head to head."

Well, its already anticipated that Morbius will go head to head with Spiderman in future sequels or spinoffs. Referencing from Marvel Comics, Morbius is initially a villain for Peter Parker, but had a change of heart and sided with Spiderman. With Morbius' future in the MCU, we're sure he will have much more appearances as the feared, Living Vampire in the MCU.

Morbius will hit the big screens on April 1.
