Morbius Director Discusses Post-Credits Scenes Spoilers Ahead of Film's Release

WARNING: This article contains spoilers about the post-credits scenes of Morbius. Read it at your own risk.

We're now just a few days away before Morbius gets released in theaters although the early reactions haven't been very kind so far, with some even criticizing the post-credits scenes as "worst." The details regarding the two stingers have also been leaking online prompting a lot of strong reactions from fans who are confused about what they set up about the future of the franchise.

Given the negative buzz that Morbius is currently generating ahead of the release, in a very rare moment, director Daniel Espinosa decided to discuss the spoiler details regarding the post-credits scenes of the film in a recent interview with CinemaBlend. You can check the thread below where you can see Espinosa's response to the questions:

First, Espinosa confirmed that the film is set in the same universe as the Venom films and it is the same one where Eddie Brock returned in the mid-credits scene of Spider-Man: No Way Home. When asked about which version of Spider-Man exists in the universe, he says that the audience will "discover the answer soon." Most importantly, he confirmed that Adrian Toomes did transport from the MCU to Sony's Venom universe and can allegedly go back-and-forth and he is currently recruiting for members of the Sinister Six.

It is very unusual that the director is already discussing the spoilers regarding the post-credits scenes ahead of the film's release. Normally, it happens after the release so that the audience can see it first. Now, it looks like Sony is doing damage control as the details of the post-credits scenes are now leaking online and they want to clarify it as it is already getting early backlash. However, it looks like this doesn't change the mind of a lot of fans and it has caused a lot more confusion since some of them are contradictory to what happened Spider-Man: No Way Home. Let's just wait and see for the general audience's response once the film is actually out in theaters.
