The official trailer for Moon Knight is finally here and it certainly hyped up the arrival of the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe series. However, fans also noticed an interesting change made to Oscar Isaac's character in the teaser. Amazingly, that Marc Spector change has officially been confirmed in the synopsis for the Disney+ show!
The Moon Knight trailer was dropped during the Monday night football match and was soon made available online. In the teaser, we immediately meet Steven Grant, who has trouble sleeping and is haunted by strange visions. Those visions are revealed to be memories of his other personality Marc Spector and Steven finds himself in a dangerous situation involving a mysterious man.
Fans are loving the action-packed trailer but comic book readers are also pointing out a huge absence in the line-up. We are only seeing two of the personalities within Marc Spector and that Jake Lockley has been left out. Now the official synopsis for the MCU show seemingly confirms that Jake isn't part of the line-up.
The Moon Knight synopsis reads as follows:
"The series follows Steven Grant, a mild-mannered gift-shop employee, who becomes plagued with blackouts and memories of another life. Steven discovers he has dissociative identity disorder and shares a body with mercenary Marc Spector. As Steven/Marc's enemies converge upon them, they must navigate their complex identities while thrust into a deadly mystery among the powerful gods of Egypt."
There is no mention of Jake here and it looks like the personality who works as a taxi driver might not appear in Moon Knight. However, fans are still hoping that Jake will eventually be introduced later in the series. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
Moon Knight will star Oscar Isaac as Steven Grant/Marc Spector and Ethan Hawke as Arthur Harrow. The series will premiere on Disney+ on March 30, 2022.
