Moon Knight Star Oscar Isaac Teases Spider-Man 2099's Return in Into The Spider-Verse 2

There is little doubt that Miguel O'Hara was one of the highlights in Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse although he only appeared briefly in the animated film. But what are the chances that we'll see Spider-Man 2099 again in the upcoming sequel? Moon Knight star Oscar Isaac has teased on his possible return in Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse 2.

Isaac provided the voice of Spider-Man 2099 in Into The Spider-Verse post-credits scene that seemed to tease on the franchise's future. With Miguel setting off to visit a different universe, there's a huge possibility that he'll end up in Miles Morales' world.

So are we going to see Spider-Man 2099 in Into The Spider-Verse 2? Isaac recently spoke to Fandom where he revealed that he hasn't been asked to return in the sequel. Still, the Dune star is hoping that he'll get the important call.

"I would love to inhabit that character for more as well, so let’s hope so!" Isaac said.

We're certainly hoping that Isaac gets to inhabit the character more considering that Spider-Man 2099 could have a great story arc in the future. Since he has the technology to explore the multiverse, there's a huge chance he'll be a great help to the other Spider-People.

For now, Isaac has not yet been confirmed to return in Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse 2. However, most of the main cast is already expected to be back in the sequel.

We might not yet be sure about Isaac's return in the Spider-Verse sequel but we'll see him as a completely different Marvel character. He is currently working on Moon Knight, which will air on Disney+ sometime next year. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.

The untitled Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse 2 is scheduled for release on October 7, 2022.
