It's no secret that Ethan Hawke will be joining Moon Knight and although we don't know who he is playing yet, he is set to be the main villain of the Marvel Cinematic Universe series. Amazingly, Hawke himself has shared some interesting new details about his role in the show.
Marvel is notorious for all the NDAs that their actors have to sign when working on a project. So it's no surprise that Hawke admitted on Late Night with Seth Meyers that he had to sign several of these agreements when he was cast in Moon Knight.
Interestingly, Hawke joked about not really caring about dropping spoilers but quickly stated that he wouldn't do that. But when Meyers pointed out that his general appearance during the interview is similar to David Koresh, Hawke immediately confessed that the cult leader was the basis of how he tackled his character.
"He is the basis of great character inspiration," Hawke said of Koresh.
This is an interesting revelation although it doesn't get us any closer to finding out who Hawke is playing in Moon Knight. On the other hand, it's safe to say that this villain is charismatic and capable of unspeakable things which is enough reason for Marc Spector to stop him.
Hawke also confirmed that Oscar Isaac had actually invited him to join Moon Knight during a chance meeting. Needless to say, that conversation worked out pretty well for the both of them.
Moon Knight has not yet been given an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
