Moon Knight Finale Runtime Reportedly Revealed

There is only one episode left in Moon Knight and fans have been anxious to see how the latest entry in the MCU will conclude after five episodes of its bonkers globe-throttling adventure headed by Marc Spector/Steven Grant. Now, a piece of new information has emerged which reveals how long will the series wrap its story and it's actually shorter than you might think.

According to insider Amit Chaudhari, the final episode of Moon Knight will have a runtime of only 42 minutes (or 44-45 minutes if you include the extra dubbing credits at the end). The number has not been confirmed yet by Marvel and Disney+, but if it is true, it will be the shortest finale episode of an MCU live-action TV series yet.

To give you an idea about how it compares to the other MCU shows (via The Direct), the final episode of WandaVision had a runtime of 51 minutes, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier had 53 minutes, the season one finale of Loki had 48 minutes, and Hawkeye had 62 minutes. However, overall, What If...? season one still had the shortest finale with 37 minutes although it was meant to be a half-hour series, unlike the others.

So what does it say about the quality of the final episode? It's hard to tell for now, but at least we have an idea about how much time they have to address all the questions and conclude the main story arc of the series. Whether they will successfully wrap up in a satisfying way, we just have to wait and see next week.

Understandably so, there are fans who are concerned about the shorter runtime since that might not be enough time and we really have no idea right now whether that is actually enough or not. With the way they set up the finale by the end of the fifth episode, it looks like they have a lot to unpack as they have to address whether everything that happened in the series is actually real or not and also hint at the titular character's possible future in the MCU.
