Moon Knight Episode 2 Reveals Stunning Connection Between Harrow and Khonshu

Warning: if you haven't seen Episode 2 of Moon Knight, this article contains spoilers so read at your own risk!

Marvel Studios' latest offering Moon Knight broke the norm when it comes to the introduction of the main villain in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and while shows like WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, and Hawkeye all waited for a few episodes to set up the arrival of the big bad, the Oscar Isaac-led series wasted no time and introduced us to Ethan Hawke's Arthur Harrow as early as the debut episode.

Harrow made it clear from the get-go that he wants something that Marc Spector possesses, and that is the mysterious golden scarab. While Episode 1 left many viewers guessing about the ancient Egyptian artifact, the second episode, titled "Summon the Suit" revealed that the scarab serves as a navigator to Ammit's tomb.

But the biggest shocker of them all would come later in the episode following Arthur's abduction of Steven Grant. As he was trying to know where exactly Marc Spector was, Harrow revealed that he has a deep connection to Khonshu and according to him, long before the deity took over Spector's body, Harrow was actually his first avatar.

Now, we don't know for sure how Harrow was able to escape Khonshu's clutches or if he's even telling the truth. But if his story is actually legitimate, does that mean he actually took on the Moon Knight mantle before becoming the villain?

Moon Knight's second episode is now streaming on Disney+.
