Moon Knight Director Teases Titular Hero's Long Term Future in the MCU

Moon Knight is about to make its debut on Disney+ in about a week and a lot of fans are excited to see the titular hero make his introduction in the MCU. All heroes that made their debut in the MCU are expected to stay in the franchise for a significant amount of time before their death or retirement. Some fans have been wondering about how long will Oscar Isaac's Moon Knight stay in the MCU and, now, it looks like we have an idea now.

During an interview with SFX Magazine (via GamesRadar+), director Mohamed Diab revealed his forecast for Moon Knight's future in which he thinks that the character might stay in the MCU for around 10 years based on the fan responses to the trailers and the fact that he is an interesting character to play in long-term.

"But I can tell you for a fact, I can see him in the next 10 years, not just the next film," Diab said. "He’s a very interesting character. He’s probably the most interesting character for any actor to play. Oscar is doing a great job. People already like him even from the trailer. I think the show’s going to resonate with people, so I see him staying for a long time."

It wouldn't be surprising if Marvel really has plans for Moon Knight to stay in the franchise for at least 10 years just like most MCU heroes right now. After all, the character is a fan favorite in the comics and is expected to be part of the Avengers at some point in the franchise just like how the character was part of the West Coast Avengers in the comics. It's also a tradition for MCU actors who are playing a superhero to sign a multi-picture deal to ensure their longevity in the franchise.

Based on the trailers and promos that were released so far, it looks like Moon Knight is going to be a great show and the titular hero will have a very promising introduction to the MCU that will make fans love him. If the series ends up becoming well-received by fans, there is a reason to believe that they would want to see Moon Knight appear in more MCU projects. Of course, the question now is how Moon Knight will play in the future of the MCU? Obviously, we won't find out the answer until we see all episodes.
