Moon Knight Could Introduce Thor 4 Villain Before MCU Film

There is little doubt that people are expecting big things in Moon Knight, which is set to be the first Marvel Cinematic Universe series that will be dropped this year. But could one of these "big things" actually be a cameo from an Academy Award winner? It is believed that the Disney+ show could introduce Gorr the God Killer into the MCU before Christian Bale goes on to play the major villain in Thor: Love and Thunder later this year!

First, let's discuss what Moon Knight is all about. The mysterious vigilante is actually the alter ego of Marc Spector, a mercenary who has disassociative identity disorder and is betrayed and left for dead on a mission in Egypt. But instead of letting the man die, Khonshu, the Egyptian god of the moon, decided to use Marc as his avatar thus saving his life and giving him superpowers.

A god who saves lives is something that most of us would admire but Gorr the God Butcher isn't easily impressed. There are speculations that Gorr will find out what Khonshu did and go after Khonshu (or Marc) to do what his name suggests (and it doesn't mean serving gods with fine cuts of meat, either).

We love the idea of seeing Gorr a little earlier than expected and it would be amazing to see Christian Bale and Oscar Isaac in the same series together. However, it is important to point out that the God Butcher is only confirmed to appear in Thor 4 and we're still uncertain if Bale will make an appearance in Moon Knight. With that in mind, it's best to take this with a grain of salt.

Moon Knight will star Oscar Isaac and Ethan Hawke and will premiere on Disney+ on March 30, 2022. Christian Bale will play Gorr the God Butcher in Thor: Love and Thunder, which is scheduled for release on July 8, 2022.
