Even with something like Warcraft on his resume, many still view Duncan Jones as one of the better directors in Hollywood. His work on movies like Moon proves that the man has talent and it's always interesting to see what other films he has up his sleeve. Jones has given fans an update on that via Twitter and, to the surprise of many, he will be working on a comic book film.
Though he didn't say what comic book he would be adapting, Jones did say it was a special one and a teaser for his project would come in a few days. Jones has worked with Sam Rockwell in Moon, who was in Iron Man 2, but that's the closest thing he's done to a comic book film. Well, that and Warcraft, which does have a number of comics based on the video games.
Comic books are a hot commodity these days, with many buzzworthy titles getting adaptations. Aside from the obvious ones based on Marvel and DC, there are also several Image properties that are getting proper adaptations, like Deadly Class and Invincible.
We'll have to wait for a few days to see what project he will be turning into a movie or series but it does seem to be in very good hands.
