Money Heist Season 5 Trailer Finally Released by Netflix, Release Date Revealed

One of the most popular Netflix original series in the world is wrapping up this year, and fans are excited to find out how the Professor and his crew are going to pull off their epic heist. The final season of Money Heist (In Spanish: La Casa de Papel) will conclude the action-packed series this year, and the upcoming season will be divided into two parts with the first part releasing this September and the second on December.

Today, Netflix has released the official trailer for Money Heist Season 5: Part 1, and you can watch both the English and the original Spanish versions below:

As you can see, the trailer continues the cliffhanger ending of Season 4: Alicia Sierra, the ruthless and pregnant inspector played by Najwa Nimri, has found the genius Professor (Alvaro Morte), and it looks like he has no escape from her clutch. Meanwhile, the Professor's team appear to be struggling to pull off their insane heist in the Bank of Spain, and with their mastermind captured and with the military arriving in the scene, it looks like their mission is hopeless.

Here's the synopsis of Money Heist Season 5: Part 1:

"The gang has been shut in the Bank of Spain for over 100 hours. They have managed to rescue Lisbon, but their darkest moment is upon them after losing one of their own. The Professor has been captured by Sierra and, for the first time, doesn't have an escape plan. Just when it seems like nothing else could go wrong, an enemy comes on the scene that is much more powerful than any they've faced: the army. The end of the greatest heist in history is approaching, and what began as a robbery will turn into a war."

Money Heist Season 5: Part 1 is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on Sept. 3.
