Money Heist Season 5: 3 New Characters Teased by Netflix


Money Heist (original title: La Casa de Papel) Season 5 is scheduled to release in two volumes in September and December 2021, wrapping up the series by the end of the year. Netflix recently teased the three new characters joining the popular Spanish series, and fans are excited to find out what roles they'll play in the dangerous heist.

Netflix already confirmed three charadcters for the final season of Money Heist: Rene (played by Miguel Silverstre), Rafael (Patrick Criado), and Sagasta (José Manuel Seda). You can check out Netflix's teasers for their characters below.

Sense8 and Sky Rojo star Miguel Silvestre is playing René, the man who Tokio (Úrsula Corberó) started mugging with, traveled with, and the person he loved before joining the Professor's heist gang.

In Season 1 of Money Heist, Tokio is seen in a motorhome, running from the police. She is referring to Rene when she said, "My name is Tokio. But when this story began, it wasn't. This was me… and this, the love of my life. The last time I saw him I left him in a pool of blood with his eyes open".

Patrick Criado as Rafael

24-years-old actor Patrick Criado, who's best known for his roles in El Aspirante, Mar de Plástico, El Rey, and La Línea Invisible, is playing Rafael, Berlin's son. According to Berlin (Pedro Alonso), is "a nuclear warhead that's going to destroy everything," as he told Rio (Miguel Herrán) in early episodes of Season 1 of the series. Rafael is now 31-years-old, and has studied computer engineering at MIT in Massachusetts, and he's clear about one thing: he doesn't want to be like his father.

José Manuel Seda as Sagasta

José Manuel Seda is playing Sagasta, the Commander of the Special Forces of the Spanish Army. He is seasoned in countless international missions against the worst people. When he puts on the uniform, Sagasta becomes analytical,cold, and ruthless. He is willing to break any ethical conventions if the mission requires it.
