Fafnir and Lucoa have a moment about manga, while Tohru is in deep thought about the dragons' sleeping habits in the human world. Meanwhile, Kanna does a group assignment with her classmates.

Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid Season 2 Episode 7 Recap
Fafnir asks for help from Lucoa regarding a manga he plans to make for the next convention. He asks her to be his art model, considering his manga's story is loosely based on Lucoa and Shōta's relationship. Lucoa decides to sell at the upcoming convention as well. Fafnir fails to make any sales, while Takiya and Lucoa successfully sell all of their works.
It's Kobayashi's day off, and she decides to sleep in. While buying ingredients for dinner, Tohru bumps into Elma. Despite dragons not actually needing sleep, for some reason, they sleep in the human world—perhaps as a form of blending in with society's practices. Tohru and Kobayashi have a late-night conversation about sleep as well.
Kanna, Saikawa, and their classmates are assigned to do an investigation of something and create a newspaper about it. Their group has decided to check out the rumor about a ghost located in the art room. Before actually going to the art room, the group decides to procrastinate first and play some games around the school.
Once they get to the art room, they realize that it was just a swaying window making those noises. However, Kanna catches the fairy behind the rumors. The fairy tells her that he accidentally ended up in the human world. He successfully returns through a portal created by Ilulu.
