Miniseries Starring Rocket and Groot Could Come to Disney+

With Star Wars pumping out original shows for Disney's streaming service, it looks like Marvel Studios wants to follow suit. With shows centered on Loki and Scarlet Witch rumored to be in the works, word has it that a show centered on Rocket Raccoon ad Groot could be underway.

This rumor comes from ThatHashtagShow who says that a series based on the MCU's Han and Chewie could be in the works before Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 comes out. Of course, this is just a rumor, so take this with a huge grain of salt until Marvel announces something official.

Personally, I think this show would end up costing a lot seeing that both Groot and Rocket are CGI. Then again, with it just being a miniseries, I imagine Disney could cough up the money for a six-episode season. Heck, they could go for a 3-episode season like Sherlock.

For now, it's said that Marvel has their eyes on making a Bucky/Falcon miniseries first. With the death of Captain America heavily rumored for Avengers 4, I would imagine that this show will focus on which of Cap's friends will eventually take on the mantle moving forward. Then again, I could be completely wrong.

Personally, I'd like to see more of Scarlet Witch. It's been said that her show could have Vision appear as a regular, but I'm more into the notion of her working her magic like with Doctor Strange. You think Benedict Cumberbatch has the time?

No release date has been announced for any Marvel miniseries.
