Miles Learns to Swing in New Clip from Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse

Reviews are hyping up the release of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse next month, and if critics are ought to be trusted, the film is going to the best animated movie of 2018. Thanks to Fandango, we have a short clip from the film of Miles Morales learning how to swing from Peter Parker.

Check it out:

It's not clear what Miles and Peter were trying to steal or where they were at, but I think it's a facility that's got all of the old stuff of the dead Spider-Man in Miles' universe—most likely Oscorp. Besides the web shooter that Miles almost dropped, you also see the both of them running off with some kind of CPU.

Plus, there's the first meeting with Gwen Stacy. You'd think that Peter Parker would have a different reaction seeing his long-dead girlfriend come back to life, but I have a feeling this film's Peter had been in a romance with MJ the whole time—much like the Tobey Maguire Spider-Man.

With critical darlings like The Incredibles II and Ralph Wrecks the Internet as competitors, a lot of reviewers have been consistent in saying that Into the Spider-Verse is the best animated film of the year. Heck, they're saying that it's the best Spider-Man film ever made as well as a good superhero movie.

While the critics do love it, I guess we'll just have to wait and see what the audiences think when the film comes out. After all, Batman v Superman was loved by a lot of critics before it came out, and look at what status that movie has today.

Catch Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse in theaters Dec. 14.
