While fans of the Marvel films have a great year ahead of them, the same thing can't be said for those that enjoyed the company's Netflix shows. With Daredevil, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist getting canceled, many are expecting the same for The Punisher and Jessica Jones, the former of which just finished its second season while the latter will be premiering its third season later this year.
Mike Colter, the man who plays Luke Cage, is in a similar position as the fans since he told IndieWire that he isn't sure if we'll ever see the show again. He is being hopeful about a possible third season, should Disney+ decide to pick up the Netflix show but the actor is keeping himself busy with other projects in the meantime.
"I have no clue because honestly it's one of those things that didn't happen for any other reason than the powers that be deciding that they wanted to take it back into another platform. You know, whether it comes back or not, I don't know. I'll be around but until now, I'll be working on some other cool things like this."
Of all the Marvel-Netflix cancellations, the one for Luke Cage might have been the saddest. Not only did it show significant improvements over its flawed first season but it also had one hell of a cliffhanger, one that may never be resolved now.
Fans can still binge watch Luke Cage on Netflix if they miss it.
