Miko encounters a schoolmate who can see ghosts like her, but not exactly at the same level. With Miko’s ability, she continues to help out people, including an old lady and her family.
Mieruko-chan follows Miko Yotsuya, a girl with the ability to see the supernatural. Despite fearing for her life when she sees these ghosts, she ends up using this ability to protect the people around her.

Mieruko-chan Episode 5 Recap
It turns out that Yulia, the girl with pigtails from the other class who has been watching Miko and Hana, can also see ghosts. She has had this ability ever since she was a child. She wanted to be the Godmother’s apprentice because she dreams of being a great spiritualist. She was shocked to see the Godmother’s shop closed down suddenly. After discovering that Miko and Hana were the last two customers, Yulia decided to confront Miko in school during PE.
She told her that she could see ghosts, and she knew that Miko could see them too. Miko pretends not to know what she’s talking about.
Before leading Miko to the gym’s storage unit, she placed some bottlecaps near a dark corner to lure the ghosts that look like tiny men. Yulia continues to speak, telling Miko that she doesn’t have to hide her ability from her, and she knows that she can see the tiny ghosts. However, there is an even bigger ghost next to them, and Miko realizes that Yulia doesn’t see it. To save both of them, Miko knocks her out. When Yulia wakes up in the nurse’s office, Miko apologizes for what happened. She also explains her reasons for just pretending not to see the ghosts. However, Yulia misinterprets it and thinks that Miko is threatening her.
On her way home, Miko sees a ghost by the stairs and pretends to ignore it. However, an old lady, which she mistook for a ghost, touched her arm. Miko helps her get home, and her daughter apologizes for what happened. A ghost shows up, mumbling the same four numbers again and again to Miko and the old lady. When Miko communicates those numbers to the old lady, she enters the house and successfully opens the safe that she’s been attempting to open for a while. She finds a comb that her husband gave to her, and she’s back to her senses. The ghost thanks Miko and disappears.
