Michael B. Jordan Black Superman Film Reveals New Details Confirming TWO Different Val-Zod Projects

It has been a long wait for a Black Superman to finally get his own movie. But now it looks like we're getting more than just one Val-Zod film. A new report shares more details about Michael B. Jordan's upcoming project and it somehow reveals that it is different from the one J.J. Abrams is working on.

Fans were understandably excited when it was reported that Jordan is in final negotiations to produce and possibly star in the upcoming Superman project with HBO Max and DC. Although it was initially believed that the Black Panther star will be joining Abrams' movie, it has since been confirmed that Jordan's film is a different project.

So what exactly is happening here? The Heat Vision newsletter sheds some light on the situation. It confirms that Jordan had initially pitched the idea to Warner Bros. with the intention of producing it with his production company Outlier Society. Unfortunately, it fell apart due to creative differences and Jordan left Warner Bros.

This led to the studio offering the project to Abrams, who then called on Ta-Nehisi Coates to rework the story. But it looks like HBO Max also had other plans for the idea.

"The HBO Max side of the business then approached Jordan and asked him if he'd like to try his project for them. It was either synergy or, at the time, a surprise, depending on who you talk to. No overlap is seen, however, as Jordan's is considered to be early development and on a different time track," the report reads, citing multiple sources.

It's an interesting revelation considering that people were expecting just one Black Superman project. Hopefully, everything will be explained by Warner Bros. soon.
