Markle sported a white off-the-shoulder dress by Louis Vuitton. It has bateau-style with long sleeves, reminiscent of her wedding dress when she tied the knot with Prince Harry in 2018.

She also accessorized with dangling earrings and a matching clutch, Page Six reported. However, many noticed the sparkler on her finger — Princess Diana's post-divorce ring, which some dubbed as the late Princess of Wales' freedom ring.

"Diana's freedom ring being the prefect [sic] protection for my favs #HarryandMeghan," one tweeted.

It wasn't the first time she rocked Princess Diana's bling. Markle also wore the same accessory at her royal wedding.

"It's Meghan Markle wearing Princess Diana's freedom ring to her wedding, right in front of Prince Charles and Camilla for me," another netizen shared at the time.

What Did Experts Say About Princess Diana's Freedom Ring?

The aquamarine centerpiece of the ring was reportedly a gift from Princess Diana's friend to her. She commissioned it as a replacement for her sapphire engagement ring following her divorce from King Charles.

"The ring consists of emerald cut aquamarine amongst small solitaire diamonds set within 24-carat yellow gold," Paul Hird, head of luxury auctions at John Pye Luxury, told Express.

"The aquamarine was gifted to Diana by her friend, Lucia Flecha de Lima, and was then commissioned into a ring in 1996 by Asprey."

According to Dr. Thomas Schröck, Founder and Managing Partner for The Natural Gem, Aquamarine is a gemstone belonging to the beryl mineral group and is a cousin of the emerald. It reportedly reminds one of the "reflections of the sea."

"This is an extraordinary and beautiful gemstone, which has accumulated in value over the years," the jewelry expert said.

Jim Tannahill of Suttons and Robertsons, one of London's oldest pawnbrokers, gave an estimate of the potential price of the sparkler.

"This ring is worth in the region of £80,000," he told Express. "But again, given its history, would be anticipated to fetch in excess of this price at auction with a huge amount of interest from collectors of such historical pieces."
