Prince Harry and Meghan Markle released their Netflix documentary Harry & Meghan last month. The show received several reviews. One body language expert noticed the Duchess of Sussex's "bizarre" response in one episode.

Meghan Markle Gave A Bizarre Response When Asked About Harry & Meghan?

Body language expert Spidey in his YouTube channel, The Behavioral Arts, shared his analysis of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's docuseries. He commented in one episode when Markle was asked, "Why did you want to make this documentary?"

Spidey noted Markle's hesitations when she gave her response. The duchess reportedly said the question "caught me off guard," Showbiz CheatSheet reported.

"She hesitates for a while before she even begins to answer," Spidey said.

"And, to me, the first question I had in my head is 'Why didn't you think about this? You've been thinking about this project for a while, you've been working on it for a while. This is probably a question that you knew very much you're going to be asked."

"Why are we seeing this suspense, this hesitation before we actually get to any semblance of an answer? That was bizarre for me," he added.

He also noted Markle using "delaying tactics." She said, "I'm not going to say it's comfortable," which the expert described as a "non-answer statement."

"You weren't asked if you're comfortable [or] if you're uncomfortable, but she snuck that in," the expert added.

"In behavioral analysis, we call all these things delaying tactics' — basically anything that you put between the end of the question and the beginning of the answer. And typically we're delaying to buy time to think of a good answer."

He added that delaying tactics doesn't indicate deception. However, it gives the person a "moment to spin it right."

Meghan Markle Is Trying To Be Relatable In Harry & Meghan?

Spidey noted that despite Markle saying it wasn't comfortable, her body language suggested otherwise.

"I don't see discomfort, especially in this moment. It's very rare that when we're uncomfortable we expose our neck," he explained. "Usually discomfort is, we close in, we're guarded. So you're saying you're not comfortable, but your body language is saying different."

Body language expert Scott Rouse echoed the same sentiment. He noted that the way Markle exposed her throat wasn't something that someone in an uncomfortable situation would do. For him, Markle's words and actions were against each other.

Spidey speculated that Markle said it as an actress to get the audience curious and probably pull them in. He suggested that Prince Harry's wife was probably trying to be relatable.

"But the second, and bigger reason I think she started with that, is because Meghan often makes attempts to be relatable," Spidey explained.

"She's trying to be relatable because she knows that to most people, it's uncomfortable to be in front of a camera, to tell your story… so by saying that, I don't think she's speaking to her discomfort, I think she's speaking to the discomfort most people would feel in a situation like this in order to connect."
