Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been away from the United Kingdom for two years now after their shocking Megxit in January 2020. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex cited their desire to become financially independent as one of the major reasons why they decided to depart from the Firm.

Though Meghan Markle and Prince Harry appear to be having the time of their lives in America, issues and controversies continue to hound the Sussex couple. They were even rumored to ditch Spotify, for whom they had a content deal worth $25 million, after they lambasted the streaming service giant for reportedly allowing Joe Rogan to spread COVID-19 misinformation in the platform.

Meghan Markle And Prince Harry’s Return Not Welcomed By Britons?

Royal expert Neil Sean reported that many citizens in Britain do not think that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s comeback is a good idea at all. The claim came as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex kept mum on Sunday as Queen Elizabeth kickstarted her Platinum Jubilee year.

When asked which members of the royal family would be in “prime spots” for the Platinum Jubilee celebrations and if he expected a return from Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, Neil Sean told Fox News’ Martha MacCallum:

“Meghan and Harry? There is no appetite over here in the United Kingdom for them to return.”

The royal expert furthered that “whatever the message” that is being relayed in the United States “over here they are polling incredibly badly” as he threw cold water on rumors of a return by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Neil Sean added that the messages Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been sending over the past year caused their popularity to hit rock bottom.

As if that is not enough, Neil Sean also shared that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey “is still rated so badly in people’s minds over here” and even presented evidence to prove the royal couple falling out of favor with the British people. He added the Duke and Duchess of Sussex “actually made Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles even more popular.”

A YouGov poll conducted in December 2021, as per Express UK, revealed that 39 percent of the 1,478 respondents had a positive view of Prince Harry. Around 38 percent, on the other hand, do not like the Duke of Sussex while 21 percent had a neutral view of him.

Queen Elizabeth To Forgive Meghan Markle And Prince Harry In Jubilee Celebrations?

Meanwhile, royal experts believe that Queen Elizabeth considers burying the hatchet with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry during their return to the U.K. for her Platinum Jubilee celebrations. Dr. Athur Cassidy wondered how the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would most likely be met with “forgiveness” and “warmth” should they decide to celebrate the occasion with the royal family.

Athur told Express UK:

“Her faith in God drives her to forgiveness. It’s also why she loves ethnicity. She embraces it, and that’s why she embraced Meghan, just the same as she was with the Duchess of Cambridge. But now she has to control her mind and navigate how she is going to respond when it comes to the jubilee. “Will she offer the hand of forgiveness and say, ‘come and join in the celebrations?’ I think she will.”

Up to this writing, it remains to be seen if Meghan Markle and Prince Harry would be coming back home to grace the major royal events this year. In April, the royal family is expected to have a memorial service for the late Prince Philip and the celebrations for Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee would take place in June.

Prince Harry, in January, revealed that he has been petitioning the U.K. government to allow him to pay for the police protection for his family while they are in the country. Most, if not all, royal followers are aware that the Duke of Sussex was stripped of police security after he stepped back from life as a working member of the royal family.
