Netflix dropped the first trailer of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's anticipated memoir. However, the bombshell footage raised eyebrows, with some accusing the Duke and Duchess of Sussex of shading the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, reports say.

Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Making Kate Middleton Look Evil In Harry & Meghan Trailer?

The trailer of the Sussexes' anticipated docuseries on Netflix was out Thursday. It featured several private photos, including one with the royal family from the 2019 Commonwealth Service.

"A shot focusing on a pinched-looking William and Kate," royal editor for Daily Mail Rebecca English wrote, before adding, "with the Sussexes sitting meekly behind them."

Many felt that the photo featuring Middleton was not flattering to the future Queen Consort. GB News presenter, journalist and commentator Patrick Christy also disapproved of it.

"Did anyone else notice the snide dig at William and Kate?" Christys said on GB News after watching the trailer. "'Evil Kate! Evil Kate! [But] Meghan stood proud anyway.' It does make Kate look evil, doesn't it?"

Kate Middleton's Photo In The Trailer Taken By A Professional Photographer Secretly Hired By Prince Harry And Meghan Markle?

According to English, the photo of the royal family appeared to be taken by a professional photographer. Sources told her that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex secretly hired their own photographer, Chris Allerton, even when they were still working royals.

The photograph in question showed the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge seated in the same row as King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla at the 2019 Commonwealth Service at Westminster Abbey. Prince Harry and Markle were seated behind them. According to English, it was a "controversial choice" of a photo.

"It's as if someone scoured the Earth for the only unflattering picture of the Princess of Wales in existence," an anonymous source told English.

The Prince and Princess of Wales' pals were reportedly "sickened" by the implications drawn from the image.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's docuseries Harry & Meghan will premiere on Netflix on Dec. 8.
