Meghan Markle And Prince Harry Snubbed On Christmas Break?
Express UK shared some details of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Christmas break in Canada in 2019. The news outlet revealed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were rejected to go inside a local restaurant due to security difficulties that arise when hosting two of the most recognized persons on the planet.
It was claimed that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry had planned to dine at Deep Cove Chalet, an upmarket seafood restaurant that boasts magnificent waterfront views. However, the owners – Bev and Pierre Koffel – turned down the request to host the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for dinner,
Bev Koffel divulged to a local newspaper that security guards dropped by the restaurant and spoke to her. Mrs. Koffel shared it was not hard to identify them as persons very close to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, saying:
“They said, ‘How did you figure out who we were?’ And I said, ‘It wasn’t too hard’.”
Though Bev Koffel answered the phone, she turned Meghan Markle and Prince Harry down. She even told the newspaper that her husband, Pierre, was interested what would have happened next after rejecting the request of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Prince Harry was reportedly sighted hiking near Horth Hill. Mrs. Koffel recounted:
“Horth Hill’s become a very popular place now. And they jog around, so they’ve been seen. It’s kind of exciting. I hope everything goes fine for them. They’re breaking away from tradition and I just wish them all the best.”
Another local resident shared his encounter with Prince Harry during the time he was spotted hiking in the area. Malcolm Northcott, who lives on the end of Horth Hill, shared:
“I’d just give him the regular hello I give everybody. I don’t imagine they’re going to stop and have a long-winded conversation with anybody.”
Another local, Ashley Jackson, stated:
“I’d do nothing. I’d just hope Sula [her black labrador] wouldn’t jump on him.”
Days after the said sighting, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry shocked the world when they announced their decision to step down as senior royals. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex then moved to California, staying in a close pal’s house before transferring into their $12.88 worth property in Montecito.

Meghan Markle And Prince Harry’s Christmas Plans Revealed
Meanwhile, it is very unlikely for Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, Archie, and Lilibet to come back to the U.K. for Christmas, especially after Queen Elizabeth canceled her pre-Christmas lunch plans due to the surge of COVID-19 cases in the country. Though the Sussexes did not confirm anything, most of their supporters want to see them get reunited with the other members of the royal family this holiday season.
An unnamed source told PageSix:
"There’s a lot that goes into the logistics and the planning of the family Christmas, so of course, staff know that Harry and Meghan are not coming. If they were, they would have communicated it to their family by now. But this is Her Majesty’s first Christmas without her husband, so one would have hoped they would want to be with her.”
Geo TV claimed that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry has sponsored their own holiday parade in Montecito. It was even reported that the former Suits actress cheerfully looked for Christmas presents for their family and close pals.

Should things go their way, this would be the second holiday that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are celebrating away from Queen Elizabeth and the rest of the royal family members. Aside from their children – Archie and Lilibet, Doria Ragland, Meghan’s mother, is also expected to join the celebrations this year.
