Meet Marvel Comics’ New Warriors in New Trailer

While Marvel films and TV shows may have halted due to the Coronavirus, Marvel Comics has revealed their new iteration of superheroes called The New Warriors. Just in, we have a new trailer for these youngsters with powers, and they could very well be the next supergroup in modern comics.

When Kamala's Law goes into effect in the highly anticipated one-shot, OUTLAWED, super heroics will be left to the adults and underage heroes will be banned unless they have official government assigned mentors. That's where THE NEW WARRIORS come in.

What's interesting is that the comic will be featuring the original New Warriors from the 90s like Speedball and Night Thrasher, and they'll be acting as mentors to this new generation of teen vigilantes. The new New Warriors will include Screentime, a ‘meme-obsessed' superhero who is 24/7 connected to the internet; super-powered twins Snowflake and Safespace; Trailblazer, a foster kid with a ‘magic backpack' that's actually a pocket dimension; and B-Negative, the "goth" kid of the group who somehow got his vampire powers from Morbius.

I have to say, I'm not too keen on these new heroes for now, but I'm willing to give the comic a chance. I just kind of feel like they're each a stereotype of Generation Z kids. Either way, there's a lot of talent behind the comic; these designs come from Ironheart artist Luciano Vecchio with Emmy-nominated Daniel Kibblesmith (The Late Show with Stephen Colbert) attached as the writer.

The New Warriors #1 become available on April 15.
