Things just got wilder in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the upcoming Deadpool 3 starring Ryan Reynolds is confirmed to be a team-up film between the Merc with a Mouth and Wolverine himself, played by the returning Hugh Jackman. The internet-shattering announcement seemingly has everyone in a chokehold, including the franchise's stars like John Krasinski who finally realized his MCU dreams earlier this year playing a variant of Reed Richards.

Taking to Twitter, the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness star responded to the massive Deadpool 3 announcement and jokingly asked Reynolds if the teaser he posted has something to do with the project they're working on together. He wrote: "Wait… is this our movie?"

Director Shawn Levy would later but in and tell Krasinski that the film doesn't concern him. The Stranger Things producer responded: "
Sorry JK, this one’s all mine."

Naturally, Krasinski's reaction left a lot of people intrigued, with some even speculating that Mister Fantastic could also be involved in Wade Wilson's grand MCU debut. However, as much as we hate to burst your bubble, Krasinski was actually referring to his team-up project with Reynolds, a fantasy comedy film titled If which is also slated for release in 2024.

However, seeing how wild things have been in the MCU as of late, the idea of his version of Mister Fantastic making a cameo appearance at the very least isn't too farfetched of an idea. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what Wade Wilson has in store for us.

Marvel Studios' Deadpool 3 is scheduled for release on September 6, 2024.
