MCU Phase 4 Slate Leak Confirms 7 New Films

Marvel Studios has yet to make official announcements about what fans can expect in the highly anticipated Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, it looks like the studio's upcoming slate has just been leaked and it confirms seven awesome new films in the next few years.

The leak comes from an insider simply known as "Roger Wardell" who revealed to Independent that Marvel already has its entire lineup for Phase 4 planned out. Interestingly, this includes seven new movies, two of which will introduce new Marvel comic book characters.

The MCU Phase 4 slate includes Black Widow, The Eternals, Black Panther 2, Shang-Chi, Doctor Strange 2, Nova and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3. There is little doubt that the Scarlett Johansson film will be the first to be released considering that it was already started production.

Casting for The Eternals has also begun, with Angelina Jolie and Richard Madden taking to two of the lead roles. It was previously reported that Keanu Reeves is being considered to play the villain in the Chloe Zhao film.

Amazingly, the sequel to 2018's Black Panther will reportedly feature the return of an unexpected character. Some fans are hoping this would mean we haven't seen the last of Erik Killmonger.

Shang-Chi is still shrouded in mystery although the movie is believed to begin production before the end of 2019. The second sequel in the lineup Doctor Strange 2 could then start production early next year.

Nova is an interesting choice for Marvel considering that the character has ties to the Nova Corps. This could mean that Nova and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will be connected.

The MCU Phase 4 slate is truly an awesome one but it is best to remember that it has yet to be confirmed. In the meantime, it is best to take all the details with a grain of salt.
