Comic book film fans the world over are rejoicing after Marvel Studios finally dropped the first official trailer for Eternals after months of agonizing wait. The upcoming Phase 4 offering will mark the highly-anticipated debut of the MCU's newest intergalactic faction that will undoubtedly change the course of the franchise moving forward. Technically speaking, it wouldn't be considered as an actual "debut" as the cosmic entities have apparently been inhabiting Earth for quite some time now.

In the trailer, it was made clear that the Eternals have guarded Earth for centuries against all sorts of threats, mostly cosmic but they've chosen to operate covertly for the longest time and didn't meddle with the business of mortals. Marvel fans were pleasantly surprised to learn about this bit and criticized the Eternals for not showing up to help the Avengers when they clearly needed backup during Thanos' invasion of the planet. Check out some of the reactions below:

Now, it's almost guaranteed that the film will offer fans some much-needed clarity as to why the Eternals didn't bother giving the Earth's Mightiest Heroes a helping hand in trying to neutralize Thanos when things were starting to get out of control. But it's worth mentioning that in the trailer, Sersi seems to tease an event that may have led to the Eternals revealing themselves to the world and it's safe to assume that it has something to do with the destruction the Mad Titan caused.

Marvel Studios' Eternals will hit cinemas in November.
