We've learned over the last month that Marvel Studios has yet to finalize the official cast of the upcoming Fantastic Four reboot and it instantly put the long-standing rumors to rest. As baffling as it is, it turns out that the studio is prioritizing the reboot's screenplay or at least its first draft before looking for actors who would fit the Marvel Cinematic Universe iteration of the First Family.

The silver lining of it all is that the lack of casting announcements during D23 Expo 2022 gave some fans hope that their dream castings for the film could still be given a chance. Given how Feige granted the request of fans when he cast John Krasinski as Mister Fantastic in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, anything is truly possible.

Now, MCU diehards are once again campaigning for Stranger Things star Dacre Montgomery to get cast as Johnny Storm in the project. Digital artist @subi.ozil unveiled an impressive artwork depicting Montgomery as the fiery hero and frankly speaking, he's got the look.

It's worth noting that aside from being a fan-favorite casting choice, the Power Rangers actor was once heavily rumored to be joining the MCU as the Human Torch. Check it out here:

As it stands, we're still not sure when Marvel plans to announce the film's main cast but given how big of a project this is, it's safe to assume that they're saving it up for next year's San Diego Comic-Con. Hopefully, the actors chosen will live up to the fans' standards.

Fantastic Four is slated to hit cinemas on November 8, 2024.
