Black Panther was a monumental success and we're all pretty excited to see what Black Panther 2 has in store for us fans. Most of the cast and crew from the first movie will be returning, which is always a plus, though details on who the possible villain is have been kept secret. While we ponder on the possible political message the sequel has, M'Baku actor Winston Duke has a feeling that they'll be telling a bold story.
Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Duke revealed that he still hasn't seen or heard anything about the story of Black Panther 2. It seems like his prediction of a bold story for the sequel comes from his faith in those that are working on the movie, which is kind of nice. You can say it's pretty bold of him to assume a bold story but then you'd be mean.
"Not a glimpse. We're just waiting to see where it goes. I've seen nothing, I've heard nothing, I haven't been told a thing. I just trust that they're going to invest in M'Baku and tell a really bold story."
There are a number of fans who are wondering if they are going to turn M'Baku heel for the second Black Panther movie since he is technically one of T'Challa's villains. Then again, the character essentially allied himself with Wakanda during the first film and Duke was so likable in the role that many wouldn't want him to play a villain. Let's hope that isn't the case.
Black Panther 2 doesn't have a release date yet.
