Being handsome and funny is a full time job. Just ask comedian Matt Rife, who has been battling plastic surgery rumors since his Netflix stand-up special, Natural Selection, was released last week. But luckily for fans who were wondering about chin implants, Matt Rife has addressed that rumor fully.

Did the stand-up comedian get plastic surgery? Here's what we know.

Who is Matt Rife and How Did He Get Famous?

Stand-up comedian Matt Rife has been on the up-and-up on TikTok and Instagram recently thanks to his slew of satirical skits on serious pop culture and current events subjects.

After starting out as a road comedian who could barely sell tickets, he eventually grew to over 6.4 million followers on Instagram and 18 million followers on TikTok.

Most of his new fans recognize Rife's face from their For You Page on TikTok, and especially for his suggestive joke videos.

What put him on the map, though, was The Lazy Hero. In the skit, an audience member told a story about her 'lazy' boyfriend who didn't contribute at home after his Emergency Room job, which received a massive call-out from Rife: 'He was busy saving lives.'

It is worth mentioning that Rife is also known for being 'that one good-looking stand-up comedy guy', a trait fans seem to have a hard time wrapping their heads around.

Rife, however, is fully aware of and confident in his looks post-glow-up, and he often brings up 'glowing up real hard' in recent years. And yet, some fans still find it hard to believe Matt Rife hasn't had any plastic surgery.

Fans Think Rife's 'Glow Up' is Bogus

One of the earliest clips fans of the comedian saw was when Rife appeared on MTV's Wild 'N Out where he got to 'shoot his shot' against Euphoria star Zendaya. That's where fans first noticed he looked quite different.

In the video, the comic sported a front teeth gap, he looked more muscular and his jaw appeared sharper, which led fans to believe he had not told them everything when it came to his 'glow up.' Some even thought it looked like Matt Rife had had a chin implant.

Following Rife's successful Netflix special, a fellow stand-up comedian rekindled the plastic surgery and chin implant rumors as part of a wider roast. But here's what Rife himself had to say about these rumors.

Matt Rife on Chin Implant Rumors: Preposterous

The Netflix comedian recently addressed the chin implant and plastic surgery rumors, on Access Hollywood's Boxing with Mario Lopez.

At exactly 8 minutes and 56 seconds into the video, when Matt Rife was asked about the 'biggest lie he's ever read about himself', he did not hesitate to say: 'That I've had plastic surgery.'

"That's the funniest thing in the entire world to me, because puberty hit me so late. Like, I didn't look like this until I was, like, 23. Oh my god, everyone's like, 'Oh, he's got cheek fillers', 'He got his lips done', whatever jawline surgery's a thing, I guess. It's like, 'Sorry you need surgery to look like that.'"

It remains to be seen whether fans will eventually be convinced that Matt Rife's chin is implant-free or if the comedian could do a 180 on his stance to plastic surgery rumors.

In a different interview, though, with Men's Health Magazine, Rife addressed how being attractive 'doesn't help' his comedy career: 'People don't want to laugh at physically attractive people. You don't want to walk on stage and people are looking at your arms rather than listening to your jokes. I think it just makes me work that much harder.'
